The State Office of Rural Health is planning a press conference with VT Governor Peter Shumlin on the impact of Tropical Storm Irene and the tremendous responses by rural health providers.

We are highlighting inviting providers, administrators, National Health Service Corps alumni, office staff, EMT's, Red Cross, mental health providers and all types of people from broad health sectors to promote careers, clinics, programs and small hospitals. The emphasis is on community response and neighborliness.
We’re also creating a multi-phase video project on the theme of: "I Am Rural Health." We are collecting short statements & stories by rural health care providers, administrators, board members, EMT's, support staff, and public health workers to highlight perspectivesand impacts of health in rural VT communities, not just during crises.
