2005:
Rural Health Programs:
- Small Rural Hospital Improvement Grant Program (PDF/1.78MB): Small Rural Hospital Improvement program (SHIP) grants provide support to help small rural hospitals with the implementation of the prospective payment systems (PPS), to comply with provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, and to improve overall hospital performance.
- The Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program (PDF/234KB): The Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Grant Program (Flex Program) was established by Congress in 1997 as part of the Balanced Budget Act to help stabilize and improve access to America's smallest and most vulnerable rural hospitals.
- Rural Health Outreach Grants (PDF/1.77MB): Rural Health Outreach Grants support projects that demonstrate creative models of outreach and health care services delivery in rural areas. Through this program, communities are encouraged to identify unmet health needs and develop locally based solutions.
- Rural Health Network Development Grants (PDF/234KB): Network Development Grants provide funding to help rural communities strengthen their health care systems by supporting rural providers who work together in formal networks to integrate administrative, clinical, financial, and technological functions across their organizations.
- The Rural Health Research Center Cooperative Agreement Program (PDF/87KB): The Rural Health Research Center (RHRC) Cooperative Agreement Program is designed to help policymakers, both in Washington and throughout the Nation, better understand the problems that rural communities face in ensuring access to health care for their residents.

- The History and Status of Behavioral Health Parity Legislation in Rural New England (PDF/76KB): This paper examines the history and status of behavioral health legislation and its effect on rural New England.
2002-03:
- Report of Findings: Survey of Key Rural Health Care Problems, Issues And Opportunities (PDF/70KB): In October 2003 the RoundTable surveyed attendees at its 6th Annual New England Rural Health Symposium. Marketing Leverage, Inc. was engaged to assist in questionnaire design, and to tabulate and report the results of the survey.
