The Roundtable uses Rural Health Action Alerts to notify its members, partners, affiliates and other interested parties to urge them to contact their elected officials regarding issues that have the potential to negatively (or positively) impact the health needs of rural New England citizens and their health care providers -- while there is still time to make a difference.
Generally, we provide a brief analysis of the issue, our position on the issue, and a suggested action plan. Usually, we include sample letters together with a mailing list of appropriate officials.
Rural Health Action Alerts are a valuable communications tool used as part of our collaborative effort to increase awareness of policy issues, and, ultimately, affect New England Rural Health policy decisions.
