2005: Maine's Dirigo Health Plan is intended to make quality, affordable health care available to every Maine citizen and initiate new processes for cost containment and quality improvement. The Maine Hospital Association (MHA) supports efforts to expand coverage through Dirigo Health.

2005/06: The New Hampshire Hospital Association (NHHA) has issued Policy Statements 2005-2006. NHHA's policy statements are intended to guide the development of Hospital Association positions on public policy issues and legislation through 2005 and 2006.
